The Fifth Annual Women’s Weekend was held on Saturday April 21, at SCCC and was sold out according to Linda Nieman. This is a day for women, 18 and older to come together for fun, learn something new, make new friends, expand their minds, take time out for themselves and just relax.
The day started at 8 am to 9:30 for check in along with a Continental breakfast. Everyone received a free Women’s Tote Bag which was filled with a variety of goodies and discounts from stores located in Lafayette Village. Free Massages was available during the day by Garden of Life, Mary Bennett and Dorian Carmeci. Newton Memorial Hospital provided free Blood Pressure Screenings also throughout the day.
Presentations and workshops included topics such as Yoga, Financial Planning, Belly Dancing, Secrets to Looking and Feeling Younger, Organization Skills, Stress Management, Genealogy, Literary Interests, Personal Enrichment, Dream Interpretation, Meditation, Chakra Healing and more.
Lunch was sponsored by Schering-Plough and dinner was also included. The day ended with a musical performance by Simple Gifts.

Where was David Scarisbrick throughout all of this? I hear he's good at belly dancing.

Wish I could have been there. Sounds as if it was an educational and fun event for all women.
However, why not a men's weekend?
