Girl meets Prince. Prince proposes to girl. Prince's evil stepmother vows to dispose of said girl. Evil stepmother pushes girl down magic well. Girl finds herself in New York. Girl believes life in the real world is the same as in her animated world. Chaos ensues.

Not the stereotypical Disney movie, but close enough, "Enchanted" is the charming tale of a "happily ever after" gone awry. Giselle (Amy Adams) is the typical Disney princess, who believes in true love's kiss. Her Prince Charming (James Marsden) is anything but bright and her soon-to-be stepmother (Susan Sarandon) is secretly plotting to kill her.

When Giselle finds herself in non-animated modern New York she meets and falls in love with single father and divorce lawyer Robert (Patrick Dempsey). She begins to see that life is not all singing and sweetness and that not everyone lives "happily ever after."

"Enchanted" is a great movie for kids and adults. It is as close to the spirit of the old cell drawn animation Disney movies as one can get. The cast is perfect in their roles and the film has great "winks" to the audience relating to other Disney movies. A great feel good movie that brings you back to your childhood just as quickly as if you were to "wish upon a star."
