The Democratic excitement was wall to wall on Wednesday night with the anticipation of Bill Clinton's arrival at Stroudsburg High School in Pennsylvania. With the auditorium full of locals, political banter and plenty of laughter was heard loud and clear.

The high school auditorium was filled to the brim with Hillary Clinton supporters and talk about what she can bring to our country was heard all around. "I am absolutely a Hillary fan," Middle Smithfield resident Kate Rosset said. "I saw Hillary speak over the summer. It is time for a woman president."

The media frenzy was all around with all the local television stations, newspapers and even radio present for the story of a lifetime. "This is a big opportunity," Price Township resident Lisa Slashinski explained. "There will never be a former President in our small area again. What an honor for our area."

Hillary supporters from near and far stood in a line in the pouring rain but not one complaint was uttered. The line that wrapped around the school and up part of Main Street was quite the sight to see. "It was worth the wait to be in here for this," Slashinski said.

Middle Smithfield resident, Donald Rozzi, said, "I think that it is great that he is coming here. I believe that Hillary can do the job. She was in the White House and knows what the job entails."

Clinton arrived at 7:30 p.m. and got right into the spirit of the night. He was surrounded by applause as he spoke of all the things that Hillary wants to do if she becomes the first woman President.

Clinton expressed to the excited crowd what Hillary's vision is. He explained that she is for universal health insurance and explained why it will be beneficial for everyone. Home foreclosures, economy issues, education, student loans, tuition tax credit and war were just a few of the topics that kept the crowd interested and clapping.

According to Clinton, making it easier for everyone out of high school to obtain at least a two year degree is on Hillary's to do list. Cutting interest rates on school loans is another biggie for her. Education is a very important issue and it sounds as if she will do what is necessary to ensure that everyone can afford an education if she is elected into office.

Hillary's father was from Scranton so Pennsylvania is an important state for her. She is hoping to win the state's approval and vote. Clinton said, "America's back in the cooperation business" and many applauded that thought.

"Hillary believes it is time to bring our soldiers home from Iraq," Clinton explained to the excited audience. Everyone was happy to hear that.

Jeff Sodl, Principal of Stroudsburg High School was present for the event and brought along two of the youngest Hillary supporters, his sons Logan and Ethan. "We are so proud. It is such a great honor for the community to have Clinton here tonight. This is a historical moment that words just cannot describe."

The night ended quickly but no one seemed disappointed. Clinton fans of all ages were happy to have had the chance to see him up close and personal and many were lucky enough to get an autograph before he left. Stroudsburg was the last visit of the day for him. He spend the day touring the area and spoke in Bethlehem, Allentown and Wilkes Barre before coming to Stroudsburg.
